Ramesh was having a big family. He was a hard worker as he was the sole bread earner of the family. He was leaving with his parents, wife and two children. Their financial condition wasn’t good so Ramesh has to work 16 hours a day to feed his family. Due to this tight schedule he leaves home early in the morning & came late so hardly get time to interact with his children, parents & wife. His children even not seen him for weeks & in the weekend he do over times to settle all his family needs.
From his regular tight schedule, his children, parents & wife too shattered. The typical routine cont for several weeks & years. All his hard work bring him lots of financial benefits. His children were settled by their own now. His wife has plenty of jwellery and his parents were having all the luxuries. They were having a lot of bank balance too, the balance was so that his next five generations can live happily.
Now Ramesh has started working for his greed after the fulfillment of hi Needs. He was so engrossed in making money that he used to forget Anniversaries, Birthdays & Festivals too. Now he went meetings to several parts of india, even in Holidays when children came they never met with their Father.
All the family members were used to his money making habits. So they were happy in their own companies.
One day when his Daughter was about to marry, he asked her Dad for a Day to spend with her so that she could seize that moment as a life time memory. Ramesh agreed to his Daughter’s wish. They all went to their farm house which was near by the sea. Within this Ramesh got a call from his Business partner and moved from there without informing anyone.
After three Days, when he came back he found no one, not even his Farm House. The three days Tsunami has washed out every single thing from the Beach. Ramesh was too busy in his Business that he was not aware about the Tsunami News.
The ground from his foot slept, he knell down at the beach and cried with loud voice. There was no one to hear his shouts , from every where came the echoes of his own voice only. He remembered his wife’s last conversation with him, “Why you are running for money. We had enough now. We can be happy with what we have. So let’s spend some time together.”
“It’s good to have money and the things that money can buy, but it’s good too to check up once in a while and make sure you have not lost the things that money cannot buy.” — George Horace Lorimer
