( How you can now turn it all around )
All things and experiences of real value need to be earned. (That is why they have value) The common, cheap and easily obtainable? — no one has much interest at all in them. This means that anything of real value you desire takes consistent, planned effort to bring into your world.
Universal Law (although not a particularly well understood one) states that life is not designed to give us what we need or want — life is designed to give us what we deserve. I know some of you could argue on this point until the cows come home. ( Probably a good topic over a glass of red — however, I digress)
I mean, how would you feel if everything were handed to you on a platter? I can hear you thinking — “Oh coooool…. Where do I sign up?” I have news for you. When you make a study of some of the most successful people after they found massive success ( and the money that came with it) something really interesting happened. Now they could finally RELAX. Get up at midday. Lie next to the pool ALL day. This seemed to be Über cool…… for a while — until they became BORED. This was not just a normal level of boredom — this was “O…M…G… — now watching paint dry is really fascinating. Grass growing? — wow”. After a while most of them decided to go back to work and contribute even more service to people.
The process of you earning anything is actually an energy exchange because everything you see, hear and feel IS energy. Earning is directly linked to value. (1) How you value yourself . (2) What value you offer to others — (the marketplace) Did you know the way you see yourself is mirrored back to you in your everyday reality. This means when you now decide to treat and respect yourself even better you see this reflected back to you. You no doubt have heard of the saying — Do to others as you would have them do to you. But I believe this goes even deeper. It is also what you do to yourself that affects what others do to you. Read that again. This now positively affects your personal standards and habits in a good way. Now you find it easier to do what has to be done, when it has to be done, regardless how you felt at the time. This now has a direct influence on how effectively you can offer massive value to others. At the end of the day, it is how much you are prepared to leverage the talents you were born with to improve the lives of others. If you only served one person you earned that corresponding amount. When you now find a way to serve the many, you earn this much more. Now this IS Über cool.
Now the key for you is to place yourself in a position to deserve it.
Time for a story.
There once were two brothers, who lived not far apart in a lovely part of the countryside. The first one was feeling the pressure of life, and having to feed his family. He went out to his field, and stood there for a moment, the frustration building in him. He yelled out to the field “GIVE ME A CROP…… I NEED A CROP!!!” — and you could almost hear the field saying “who is this fool that comes to me with his need, but no seed” The other brother, that same day, saw that the season was right, went with his sack of grain to his field & proceeded to busily sow the seeds he had. He dutifully looked after his seedlings all through the summer, watching them grow and ripen into beautiful golden swathes of nourishing grain. Autumn soon came, and he was blessed with a barn full to overflowing. He used his talents and took action, now deserving the abundance he was blessed with. His brother meanwhile, was left staring at a barren field — the start of winter not far off, already seeing in his mind, the bare branches of trees, silhouetted against a cold grey sky, cursing at life being so unfair.
I wonder if you have realized yet the power you do now possess — and always have — in your Mind, Body and Soul. You really do have everything you need to change your circumstances — including how much more you can now earn. I conclude with one of my favorite poems by Edgar A. Guest
Figure it out for yourself, my lad,
You’ve all that the greatest of men have had,
Two arms, two hands, two legs, two eyes
And a brain to use if you would be wise.
With this equipment they all began,
So start for the top and say, “I can.”
Look them over, the wise and great
They take their food from a common plate,
And similar knives and forks they use,
With similar laces they tie their shoes.
The world considers them brave and smart,
But you’ve all they had when they made their start.
You can triumph and come to skill,
You can be great if you only will.
You’re well equipped for what fight you choose,
You have legs and arms and a brain to use,
And the man who has risen great deeds to do
Began his life with no more than you.
You are the handicap you must face,
You are the one who must choose your place,
You must say where you want to go,
How much you will study the truth to know.
God has equipped you for life, but He
Lets you decide what you want to be.
Courage must come from the soul within,
The man must furnish the will to win.
So figure it out for yourself, my lad.
You were born with all that the great have had,
With your equipment they all began,
Get hold of yourself and say: “I can.”
