Niecy Nash Lists Los Angeles Home – Variety

Having recently upgraded to a larger home nearby, Niecy Nash has listed her former residence in the guard-gated Bell Canyon enclave near Calabasas, Calif., in L.A.’s affluent far western suburbs, for not quite $1.25 million. Thomas Davila and Kennon Earl at Compass hold the listing for the property that the “Reno 911!” and “Claws” star acquired about six years ago for just over $1.1 million.

It’s a considerable, thigh-tightening hike up from the motor court and garage to the front door of the unconventionally shaped contemporary that, perched on a gentle hillside amid a forest of mature trees, includes three and potentially four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms in roughly 3,500 square feet. A 200-square-foot room and deck atop the detached garage adds flexible living space for a gym or home office.

Multilevel interiors encompass a travertine-tiled foyer that steps down to a nautilus-shaped, open-concept living and dining space arranged around a central fireplace with a long, curved wall of picture windows. Beyond the dining area there’s an expensively equipped and traditionally designed kitchen, and it’s a few steps up from the foyer to a den with a wet bar. Two guest bedrooms have en suite bathrooms and a third was converted to a chandelier-lit walk-in closet and dressing room. The master suite offers two walk-in closets, a huge bathroom and direct access to one of the many decks, patios and grassy expanses that encircle the house. A secluded gazebo outside the den has cushioned built-in banquette seating. A freeform swimming pool and spa notched into the hillside behind the house is shaded by trees and surrounded by stone terracing.

Late in 2018, the three-time Primetime Emmy nominee and 2010 Daytime Emmy winner (“Clean House”) shelled out a tad more than $2 million for a Spanish villa, also in Bell Canyon. And, earlier this year she sold her former home in Northridge for $970,000, a smidgen above the almost $960,000 that was paid for the suburban spread almost 15 years ago.
