Are you constantly worried about your resources?

I have to tell you that it’s not your resources that are the problem. It’s your lack of resourcefulness!

Many people go through life blaming everything on the lack of finances. To lazy to get up off the couch and help themselves. They shut off their mind, closeout their creativity, and point fingers with a snarl of hatred to the beautiful world around them.

That lackluster way of life leads them to believe that some sudden windfall of money will solve all their problems.

I have to tell you that its the truth. Think about it. How many times have you seen someone working a TJ Maxx, drinking a $7 Starbucks coffee? That’s probably close to half an hour worth of there income.

That’s 30 minutes for one cup of coffee. One cup!!!

Do you see where this is going? I’m not saying shut out the world and rid yourself of comfort and pleasure. What I’m saying is, you need to become more resourceful with money. Learn how to acquire more, and invest it wisely.

I want to give you five tips to help you be more resourceful and save more money.

How to be more resourceful with money — 5 tips to save more money

1. Switch to cash

When you exchange cash, the pain and pleasure receptors in your brain fire off in a way you can’t with a credit card or debit card. That feeling of the money in your hands creates an emotional anchor. That anchor can save you from countless financial mistakes and poor choices. It will actually help you make better financial decisions and, you’ll know when to say NO.

2. Automate your bills and savings.

When you automate bills, you will never incur extra fees. Why? You won’t miss the payments!

You can, and should do this with savings and investing. If you have a 401k you can get a financial advisor to manage it for you. Every week you are working you’ll be putting money away. A recurring payment plan will help build up a nest egg that’s out of sight, out of mind. I use an investment site like stashinvest.

3. Start a carpool.

4. Cashback programs

The company will send you a check for cashback earned every 3 months. You can save anywhere from 1 to 30% a lot of cases with up to 10% in cashback.

5. Have a Yard sale

Clean your house. Have a yard sale. Sell everything! Put it up on Facebook Marketplace and get it out of your house. Take that money and invest it into something later. Facebook Market is simple to use, you just snap a picture and post it. That’s it.
