Competition For Homes With Swimming Pools
The best reason to consider buying a home with a swimming pool in the winter is it is the time of year where the fewest buyers have an interest. Why not reduce the competition in order to enable you to buy a home at a lower price, right?

The graph above plots the number of homes with pools that have sold each quarter for 16 years, going back to 2004 in the Tallahassee MLS.
The most active quarter in most years was the second quarter (63% of the time, highlighted in red), followed by the third quarter (31% of the time). Only after the market collapsed, in 2009, did the fourth-quarter lead in pool homes sold for the year.
This means that 94% of the time buyers for homes with swimming pools were most active in the 2nd or 3rd quarter of the year. And most importantly, buyers were NEVER the most-active in the first quarter, and knowing this creates an opportunity for prudent buyers.
